Yummy Beverage

Okay, I still need to add our weights, and I will get on that. Unfortunately, somehow, Ed crashed my laptop and now I think it has a virus as it is going bezerk. But while I'm working, I had a very yummy bottle of diet juice that was quite delightful and I wanted to share. It is Welch's Diet juice. I had the Berry Pomegranate today but there are other flavors as well including: Grape and Peach Twist (I think?). It is 20 calories per 14 oz bottle so no points! Unless you drink several bottles a day. They are very tasty and sweet and I love them! I'm going to check at Sam's Club to see if I can get a case. :)

Melt 2 B Svelte

OK. I am with you on that one. I have to be truthful. I have NOT been journaling or counting points. I am exercising everyday now. I am an exercise freak but I am horrible at dieting. So, with that being said, I do first what I do best. Exercise. Weight will come off with just that being increased for me and when the weight does not come off anymore, then I tweak my diet. When you get stuck at a weight for a while , the worst thing to do is decrease your calories. That lowers your metabolism. Got to increase activity level. This is not the time to hunker down with oreos. This is the perfect time for you to shed that tonnage and emerge in spring with the bodacious new you! Keep wearing chunky sweaters while you lose and then, wa la! Put that little skinny tank on this May and look hot!

Ah, the old Plateau... Nasty thing...

I hear you girlfriend. I don't know as I've hit a plateau with my weight per se. But I've hit "I hate counting points" plateau so to speak. I haven't gained and my weight I think is very slightly down. If not exactly the same, I think (hard to tell while Aunt Flo is here). I just get to this point every time I have done WW and I start to HATE numbers. Hate, hate, hate counting points and hate journaling. Even though it works and I know it and I love how my pants getting bigger feels!!! But this is the time of year I hibernate and store fat for the winter because it is so cold and I want comfort food. Yikes. I need to get on track man.... I'll be okay, I just have to rewire my mind.....

Frustration junction, what's your function..
Makes me want to keep on, keep on munchin....

Sup?

Hey! How they hangin? I hope this Monday finds everyone recharged and ready to go! I feel better with my exercise program but I am here to tell you girls...it is hard getting up at 4:45 every morn. I hope by next month I will have my groove on. I read a tidbit that said: After 1 month YOU will FEEL the difference, after 2 months YOU will SEE the difference and after the 3rd month OTHERS will SEE the difference. I guess it boils down to the 12 week program. If we can get through 12 weeks consistently we will have it licked. Stick it!

Sunday Soundoff

First and foremost, I apologize for not staying for the meeting today. I did stop at Amy's and weigh in and I was down. Total, according to the scale tonight, I'm down 11.2 but according to my scale in the morning and the scale at work, I'm down 12-12.4. So either way, down is done. If we go by Amy's scale, I did reach our group goal of 2 lbs lost. Well, actually then I lost 1.8 but that's okay. I still look at it as a 2 lb lost in my book as I don't tend to weigh myself at night. But weighing at Amy's keeps me honest and on track. Anyway, I did not make it due to some marital tension and a project for Emily being Student of the Week that I forgot about until tonight. Go figure. So I weighed and left. I really wanted to stay but I was not good company. And thanks Amy for everything you said. You really are a kindred spirit and a true friend (says Hannah Montana... ha ha ha....)

Second, I finally got around to starting to dig in to the pile of Self magazines I have next to my bed. I somehow got roped into a 2 year contract for this mag and I have a whole stack waiting to be read. So I started to get to it. I found a very interesting tidbit. According to a report in The Journal of the American Medical Association, dieters who tracked intake and swapped tips online lost more weight than those who didn't. I thought was very inspiring for us!

Something else for a good cause I found. On Facebook.com, you can add the application Takes All Types to your profile, sign up as a blood donor and receive text or email alerts when your blood type is needed in your area. I thought this was interesting.

And a third thing that I thought was interesting. Well I guess this makes four... If you have trouble sticking with going to the gym or exercising in general, you can go to the website StickK.com and this will help you reach your goals by allowing you to place a wager on your resolve. If you fall off the wagon you lose your bet to a designated recipient - a favorite charity, church? (I'll check on that one). Now that's incentive!

I'm going to go and read some more. I'll post more tips soon!! Thanks for being the best Weight Watchers/or any diet group ever. I feel like I have so much support and love and faith and this is what I think I always needed.

Love ya chicas!

I lost this week

Hey ladies,
I am down 1.5 this week and am sitting at 166. I am down 4.8 in the 5 weeks we have been doing this, so I will take a pound a week. I hope the scale reflects a bigger jump next week. My biggest weakness so far is exercise. I am still tired and my body is trying to figure out this new schedule, so I am not pushing my luck. Especially since a lot of people that sit around me at work are not feeling well. I have kept my immune system up (knock on wood). I have had a lot of no scale victories in the past week (skipping goodies at work/walking past the candy bowl). I will work on exercise this week!
GOOD LUCK Skinny Minnies!

Good Week, Rough Weekend

Well, I didn't completely wig out. Yet. I had a good week last week. Crazy but good. I stayed in my point limit. I was very stressed, busy and crampy since Aunt Flo was here to visit. Then Ed and I went away to Door County on Friday until Saturday. Actually, all things considered, it was not a bad day food wise. Yes, I ate more than I usually do and I was over my points but I also had the stomach flu Friday evening and Saturday so not much stayed in either. Not that it is an excuse but it all evened out. Ed and I had such a great time, I don't even care. I ate more odds and ends than I should have but I didn't gorge and Ed and I got closer. Good enough for me.

Anyway. Better today. Will be even better tomorrow. I haven't wigged out yet. But thanks for that post Amy. It helped. :)

I admit it

Hello everyone,
Ok I am guilty for petering out a little bit, but the scale is still down 1 pound. I will have a better day tomorrow. I am eating well and drinking my water..it is that damn exercise that I just cannot get into. I WILL DO BETTER! Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow. I hope you all lose!

Scary

Ok. You guys are scaring me. What happened? Everyone petered out and back to free and easy now? I hope that no news is good news. Remember, 7 days without exercise and good food management makes one weak. lol
