If you are reading this, then you know we have not been posting for a LONG time and it sure was helpful to do. So start posting again girls! I know, FB has taken the place of blogging, but not so fast! We need to support each other. Or more specifically, I need your support. I'm in the place right now between sick and healthy and knowing and now knowing what I can and cannot do at the perfect or imperfect time. And if you just understood that, you are awesome! Anyway, MS has kicked my tush for the month of July and pretty much most of August and now I need to get on track. Despite the use of prednisone and the heavy doses of IV Solu-Medrol steroid, I managed to stay at the weight pre hospital and actually went down about 4-5 pounds. I'm sure the thyroid medication as well as others helped to "cancel" out some of the effects of steroids. But not all. My belly is bloated and squishy and my double chin friend is back. That's why I like my current FB profile pic. I put my hands up to block that darn chin "friend".
Anyway, please start blogging again even if it is just with suggestions for me. :) Love you guys!

It HAS been awhile!
Hi fat fighters! Yes, I am at it again. Yes, I intend to lose the same 5-10 pounds AGAIN and THEN lose more! I hope. But so far so good. I'm down farther than I was at our last attempt at permanent weight loss. Let's hope I can stick it out! I have been journaling my little hard out. Every bite, lick and taste, and crumb. And though it helps, I miss my deep fried foods. Ahhhh...Deep Fried Goodness. I miss you!!! But! I will overcome! I will beat the odds!
Anyway, I know I've said this all before, but I have so many reasons this year to do it for good. So wish me luck!

I see a pattern
I see a pattern here. I went back to when we originally started and guess what? We are putting in this time and effort and there is nothing to show for it. It seems to me we are playing around with the same 5 pounds-MOL
It is January-again! We, especially me, have to get serious. Starting today, January 3, 2009.
I promise myself to only eat when I am truly hungry....stomach growls!
I promise to go to the Y and do cardio everyday for a minimum of 30 minutes, an hour being optimum.
I promise to lift weights twice a week.
I promise to log everything that crosses my lips.
My stats for today are:
190.4/39.9/43.8
I would like to lose 40 pounds.
I would like to lose this by Memorial weekend. Calculated by a 2 pound weight loss per week that brings me to the week before Memorial so that leaves an extra week for a cushion. There will be weeks I will lose more, weeks I lose none. I will not allow weeks of gain!
I will post on this blog my results every Sunday morning.
